I love ‘That Mitchell And Webb Sound’ which was a Radio 4 comedy sketch series, much like Little Britain and The Mighty Boosh and all that jazz. And like those jazzy things it is becoming a great television show. They recorded a rehearsal of the TV pilot at The Drill Hall the other night and are due to do it again with full televisual flair at TV Centre at the end of the month. I will of course be there to watch. As will probably be my friend Cheryl who is pretty much the nation’s top comedy stalker. She has the ability to approach her comedy heroes after their performances and get photographs with them, and she was the one who got to meet Matt Lucas after I had to run off for a wee and missed out. She described the ‘That Mitchell And Webb Look’ pilot rehearsal as “fecking fantastic… I won’t spoil it for you guys but if you heard the radio series you will see some of those sketches, plus a couple of new ones as well. Overall the run through was amazing to the point i will be jealous of you guys going to see the piolet actually being recorded.” So now we know.
