Speaking as someone who didn’t remotely get Prayer and a Pint (and who can hardly claim to get it today), I came to quite enjoy it by the end. That’s the rare skit, I think, that can benefit from being sent to increasingly-bizarre locations without “jumping the shark,” as it were.

I think the best part about “A Prayer and a Pint” was discovering that the regular viewers were from Sussex, not Bumsex. Being foreign, I’m quite willing to believe that Bumsex is a plausible name for an English place. I wonder how many British people thought the same? So many English places have funny names, I know someone on the web who’s tabulating (or “collecting”) them.
