Will you and David do another series of The Mitchell and Webb Look?
“There are no plans sadly for another series of sketches… you’d have to ask the BBC!”
Ooops. It’s panel shows and films for now*
*and The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff, of course.

New news:
Mitchell and Webb form ‘That Mitchell and Webb Company’ with Big Talk Productions and BBC Worldwide
Full article at the Big Talk Productions website, go read it…
Yes, that is a random picture from the ones I appear to have not posted on here yet.
Mitchell & Webb Producer and fire exits expert Gareth Edwards now has a blog where he offers Some Kind of Explanation.
Explanations may differ from reality but in a good way.
The final animation is up on the BBC Comedy site and therefore also here:
It’s written by Jonathan Dryden Taylor! Yay! Not a DVD extra sketch this time for him, which is nice. He also gets a mention in the radio interview further down this post.
Geek fact: This sketch first appeared at the warm up night for Look 4 at The Drill Hall last November.
Other things:
Rob and Dave are doing the promotional rounds and were on Radio One today (does that still exist? Showing my age) and This Morning (ditto). If I find a clip I’ll post it but the radio interview is on the iPlayer along with what looks like the whole programme. Hint: go to about 41 minutes in…
Also: Rob recorded the pilot of World Wide Robert last week. I wasn’t there but I know a lady who was and she told me this:
Recording was good. Bit rough round the edges but it was basically a bit like Tarrant on TV and It’ll be Alright On the Night but with internet stuff instead. Rob had his name in big letters, a bit like Reeves and Mortimer but on a smaller scale. Talked about the various topics of discussion of the week, made jokes, showed you tube footage and even had a big button to press to stop the internet if it got disgusting. He used it once when Kerry Katona was mentioned. It’s not being shown on tv, it could be comissioned but it needs a bit more work. He was quite a good host, very funny.
Update! Found the This Morning interview but only as a link: here.

Hmmm… some tough choices to be made there.
Two posts in one day? Bloody hell!
I spotted some familiar faces on the front cover of The Times:
Rob and David have a fashion article in the paper, as you would not expect.
““The great advantage of my approach to clothing is that I’ll never need to change. I’ll need more comfortable shoes, but I’ve essentially got my retirement-home look sorted.”
” I’m most comfortable in a pair of lived-in jeans and a T-shirt. Every two or three years there’s a new favourite T-shirt.”
I wonder which quote is which man? (sarcasm) Er… Nice photos anyway:
That article was aimed at women, as they apparently worry about that sort of thing more than men.
The Mitchell & Webb Forum that is listed in this site’s web links has moved and been given a nice renovation:
New address is http://www.thatmitchellandwebbspace.com/forum/
ITV Light Entertainment Alert!
Rob and Abigail are on All Star Mr & Mrs on Saturday. Yes, really.
Clips and nice little film on their site. Awww…
With the CD of That Mitchell & Webb Sound 4 due on 5th November I thought I’d see what the cast have been up to…
Is that the final cover? Hope not. Not very nice, is it?
Mr Webb has been busy recording an episode of With Great Pleasure for Radio 4 , due to be transmitted on Monday 9th November. He has also done something radio-based with TMWS writer Jonathan Dryden Taylor…
Mr Mitchell has been writing more columns for The Observer and appeared on Have I Got News For You last week. On the iPlayer until the end of this week.
Mr Bachman is currently to be seen in I’m Sorry I’ve Got No Head and has recorded a part in a forthcoming Big Finish (highly recommended) Doctor Who play. Using my geeky powers of deduction (or maybe just Twitter) I can confirm it is a Paul McGann one written by occasional TMWS writer Eddie Robson and it won’t be out until probably July or something. It will definitely be good. He might even be an alion in it.
Ms Colman has made a second series of Beautiful People, for transmission sometime before Christmas I would imagine.
Not sure what Ms Hadland has been up to. More Horrible Histories?
I love I’m Sorry I’ve Got No Head and not just because it shares quite a few writers and performers with the Mitchell & Webb sketch shows so this news from Chortle is rather nice:
New series for ‘No Head’
And there’s a sitcom spin-off, too
The BBC has ordered another run of its acclaimed children’s sketch show Sorry I’ve Got No Head – as well as a new sitcom spin-off. The new programme, tentatively titled Game Over, is based on a skit about ‘off duty’ video game characters. Justin Edwards will co-write the 26 new half-hour episodes with Chris Reddy and Toby Davies, who have previously written for Mitchell & Webb. A number of online games will also be created to accompany the show.
Meanwhile, CBBC has ordered a third 13-part run of the original sketch show from Graham Norton’s production company So Television, before the second has even been aired. The show features a cast of familiar comedy faces including Marcus Brigstocke, Anna Crilly, Mel Giedroyc, Marek Larwood and Nick Mohammed.
