"Don’t get up…"
The 2nd part of The Surprising Adventures Of Sir Digby Chicken Caesar!
The new issue of Word Magazine (which is now known as THE Word for some reason) has an article that may be of interest to comedy nerds…

If you like garden centres with strange hidden tribes living in them then you’ll like these exclusive* behind the scenes looks at the creation of Chief Utapu’s world…

*as in taken from the official BBC That Mitchell And Webb Look website.

The bit where they practice what they are doing on stage for the tour that has that other woman who is not Oilivia Colman but they do have James Bachman started last night at The Pleasance. I wasn’t there. I am not a stalker!
Photos shamelessly borrowed from the MySpace of Simon Young, which is a particularly good bit of space.
Episode Five was on last night and it had some gems although it wasn’t the best one… We love the corner shop sketch far too much (I too suffer from a perishing thirst) and Das Ist Numberwang (who knew German could be so much fun?) of course and any sketch that addresses the important issue of rubbish signing of birthday cards is a winner in my book. Not that I have a book per se…
New stuff just for the telly:
The Garden Tribe (loved the freaky ending).
Tongue Brushing (bloody weird but good).
Barry and shark (tiresome).
Hole In The Ring (good idea but went on for too long).
The afformentioned German Numberwang (if I am not mistaken).
Small Talk (again, I may have forgotten a radio version).
Episode Five gives me a chance to finally use these shots:

Next week: The End! LikeOhMyGodNo!

With thanks to Nat who posted this info on my main site’s guestbook…

After processing way too many credit card transactions at work today I had to watch this…
Are you ready for Chip & Pin?
Whoever said that David does too many panel shows obviously has no idea what they are talking about:
From Radio Times:
THURSDAY 19 OCTOBER
The Unbelievable Truth
6:30pm – 7:00pm
BBC Radio 4
David Mitchell hosts a new game in which panellists are encouraged to tell lies and compete against one another to see how many items of truth they are able to smuggle past their opponents. With Jeremy Hardy, Andy Hamilton, Neil Mullarkey and Graeme Garden.
We went to see the recording of this, the pilot episode. It was the day after I got married so I really can’t remember all that much as I was rather out of it. The theatre bar was bloody crowded and the guests were funny but apart from that I can’t remember much… Crikey! That was four months ago! Glad it’s not a topical panel show then.
Had a hard day? Here’s the first Sir Digby Chicken Caesar sketch to watch via YouTube …
Presenting …. The Green Clarinet!
Now we can all watch it right here right now…
