The current planned release date for the DVD
of That Mitchell And Webb Look Series One is October 29th. I assume that is to tie in with the transmission of the second series on the telly, as is usually the case in these things. Extras (as in things to watch related to the feature rather than that overrated ‘sitcom’ that preceded TMAWL when it was transmitted) include outtakes, behind the scenes featurettes and at least one documentary. James Bachman has filmed a huge amount of stuff throughout the making of the show (as witnessed at the rehearsal evening things and the filming sessions) so this DVD should be pretty special. It’s a long way away though so no artwork to show you. Bah!

That Mitchell And Webb Look has been nominated in the comedy/entertainment category for the rather prestigious Broadcasting Press Guild Awards. It’s up against How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria and That Royle Family Christmas Special. Results will be announced on March 23rd.
