Those deleted scenes not on any ‘deleted scenes’ CD extras

Monday, December 28th, 2009

I realised that I never listed all the radio recording sketches for That Mitchell & Webb Sound 4 which never made it to the radio so here are a list, with original BBC Radio Theatre recording dates. Not that it’ll make much sense to anyone who wasn’t there but I like to be thorough (or is it just anal?):

1st June
* Alan’s discomfort.
* Scared straight.
* Dog sanctuary advert. (similar to other Sound sketches)

8th June
* Bank customer 1: Withdrawl. (Very John Finnemore-y or so we thought)
* Question Time.
* London bus passengers.
* Bank customer 2: Balance.
* Village shop Muji franchise. (Spooky reappearance of Muji in our day. Great)
* Common Denominator Magazine. (Another magaziney one)
* Windsor Twilight Funeral Insurance.
* Soldier’s mum on phone.
* Particle Accelerator fatal error.
* Ghost haunting man who murdered him.
* Amateur radio club: Giant mechanical retro DJs.

15th June
* Blind date paedophile lookalike.
* Christopher Hitchens 3: Cut-out Galloway. (sketches 1 of 2 of this set got transmitted)
* Not plumetting down massive hole.
* Home made biscuit company factory.
* No original ideas at interview. (good odd punchline ending)
* Organ donation family.
* CompareTheCompere.com (one of several ‘compare’ sketches)

So now you know.

That Nudey Wiggy Webb Look

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

A certain comedy actor who is not averse to taking his clothes off is involved in the cancer awareness nudityathon (with no penises of course) in the new issue of GT aka Gay Times, out next week (I was tipped off by a gay who must time travel):

You could buy the magazine (for the articles) or just give some money to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Phil Collins FM, Interrupted

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

“… after half a bottle of Baileys, it would make you cry. Maybe that’s what you need to appreciate it properly, like they say about rave music and ecstasy.”

David’s finally bought another album to sit with his Phil Collins one. Find out what it is in this week’s Observer column (see, I do remember to mention them sometimes!)
